Q&A

Are the estates Freehold Title? Am I required to pay entry and exit fees?

All properties within the estates created by SunLife Australia have no exit fees or deferred management fees.

How are the estates managed?

All common property will be managed through the body corporate which sets out the rules and responsibilities.

The community subdivision will be administered by a licensed community/strata management company. Resident representatives and executive committees will be established to interface and liaise with the community and the manager to ensure the efficient and smooth running of SunLife Australia estates.

What if I am over 55 and my partner is under 55? Are we still eligible?

Yes, only one person residing in the property is required to be over the age of 55

Can you rent in a Sunlife Australia community?

Rentals in SunLife Australia estates is subject to specific Body Corporate Rules as established by the particular Body Corporate Manager.

What are the charges and costs?

Residents in various SunLife Australia estates will contribute to the overall costs of maintaining and operating the community facilities. (These will be outlined in respective budgets and levy schedules). In addition, normal household costs including rates, utilities, and property maintenance will be the responsibility of each individual owner.

When the time comes, how can I resell my home and who will set the price?

It is your home under freehold title, so you or your agent can determine the list price and sell the property at any time. There are no exit fees or deferred management fees.

Can you have pets in a Sunlife estate?

Yes – pets are permitted in various SunLife estates.

Do SunLife homes come with any warranties in place?

Yes – all homes created by SunLife come with a standard builders warranty.
